Margate Made and this Makers' Market is about more than just selling handmade goods, it is a community too, made up of local creatives from Thanet in Kent.

You will find contemporary and traditional arts and crafts for sale, plus lots of family-friendly free creative activities, such as making origami flowers using recycled paper.

To highlight just a few of the 35+ local creatives in Thanet who’ll be there, these people I am mentioning I have made some form of connection with them, be it I just love their work, have bought some of their wonders, and have made new friendships.

Check out my wonderful and talented friend Sian Morgan and her amazing illustrations of iconic buildings around Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate.

Plus this will also be the first opportunity to purchase my original illustrations, and paintings alongside my limited edition prints, cards and tote bags.

You’re probably asking why I would dedicate a blog to this, well it’s all about supporting one another and to be frank over the last year, I have met so much amazing support and friendship.

I have made through Margate Made new friends, commissions, collaborations with Monkton Nature Reserve and the obvious -  selling my hand-printed products.

Creativity goes a long way, it goes through us to connect to other creatives. We are all after all human.

Plus also a BIG thank you to Sarah Gibbon and Jackie Dalten who organise and run Margate Made’s Markets.

Thank you for reading,
